AFerry.co.uk, one of the largest ferry portals in the world, was delighted to be invited on a very special client weekend in Scotland courtesy of ferry partners Stena Line.
Guests were housed at the glorious Glenapp Castle, hidden in 36 acres of glorious gardens and woodlands on the rugged and beautiful Ayrshire coast in Ballantrae. The Gala Dinner that opened the party was held at Dumfries House on Thursday 20th September. Designed in the 1750s by the Adam Brothers, and saved for the nation in 2007 by HRH Prince Charles, Dumfries House has an unrivalled collection of furniture by Thomas Chippendale, Alexander Peter, Francis Brodie, and William Mathie.
The Ayr race meeting saw the 21st anniversary of the Ayr Day Gold Cup on this Ladies Day and lucky AFerry.co.uk and Stena personnel were treated to the best views of the race from the Rothesay stand itself! It was here that the group mingled with royalty - the Duke of Rothesay otherwise known as Prince Charles, and also Camilla. Scotland's First Minister also met guests such as Kirsty Laifa from AFerry.co.uk and Diane Poole, Head of PR at Stena Line (see picture)
Not only does AFerry.co.uk have the top passenger account with Stena Line, they also have recently cemented their relationship with a new collaboration where customers of the ferry company can book other operators and routes on the Stena website. The stenaline.co.uk website provides visitor's access to book additional ferry trips on non-Stena Line operated routes. This amounts to over 1,100 routes and 75 different ferry companies from all over Europe being available.
